Effectiveness of an ERP system on the service quality of a Peruvian consulting firm

Resumen

La calidad de servicio constituye un aspecto fundamental en la gestión empresarial actual. Es por ello que el objetivo de la investigación fue analizar la efectividad de la implementación de un sistema de planificación de recursos empresariales en la mejora de la calidad de servicio de una consultora ubicada en el distrito de Lince, en Lima. El estudio se desarrolló bajo un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo experimental con diseño pre-experimental, en una muestra de 27 trabajadores que respondieron un cuestionario. Los resultados mostraron que tras la implementación del sistema el 88,89 % de los participantes calificó de alto la calidad de servicio, en contraste con el 0 % registrado en este nivel antes de la propuesta tecnológica. Además, el 77,78 % de los encuestados evaluó su implementación como óptima. Se concluye que la implementación del sistema resultó efectiva para optimizar la calidad de servicio en la consultora.

Abstract

Service quality is a fundamental aspect of modern business management. Therefore, the objective of this research was to analyze the effectiveness of implementing an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system in improving the service quality of a consulting firm located in the Lince district of Lima. The study was conducted using a quantitative, experimental approach with a pre-experimental design, with a sample of 27 employees who completed a questionnaire. The results showed that after the system's implementation, 88.89% of participants rated the service quality as high, compared to 0% before the technological intervention. Furthermore, 77.78% of respondents evaluated its implementation as optimal. It is concluded that the system's implementation was effective in optimizing service quality at the consulting firm.
